I’ve been working on setting up an Etsy shop for some of my photos. Who knew it would be so time-consuming? It’s almost ready to open, but in the meantime, a few photos from recent adventures in Texas and Louisiana. (Some of these were taken with my phone and are on my instagram page.)

Beignets and cafe au lait at Cafe du Monde also make me smile. Had to visit 2 days in a row.

If you look closely, you’ll find mardi gras beads hanging pretty much everywhere. The trees along St. Charles are dripping with them!

There is a little bit of pleasure, because I have got this chance of reading you after a very
long time..
Thanks for stopping by – I know – I disappeared for a bit! 🙂 Have been working on another project that has been very time-consuming.
These are all fabulous photos, I particularly like the swamp one.
Thanks Joan! The swamp one is probably my favorite too – it’s a bit eerie when driving over it because it goes on for miles with nothing else in sight. I have to admit – this photo is heavily edited – I snapped it while driving over a bridge so I cropped out the blurry guardrails and played around with the filters. I recently got on instagram so have been using my phone more for pics and experimenting with different apps for editing. Fun stuff!
Beautiful pictures! 🙂
Thanks so much Linda! 🙂
Love the photos!
Thank you Cindy! I hope your repatriation is going well! Hope you post about your recent adventures soon.
Lyn!!! what can I say? Of course these are all wonderful…but the swamp pic made me laugh a lot thinking about how we could not escape that freeway that morning you were taking me to the airport! Anyway…love them all…..
Thanks! 🙂 I was telling H that story – he’s probably heard it a million times but when on those bridges it totally brings back that helpless feeling of trotting off in the wrong direction for miles and miles knowing you had to catch that flight! haha!
What a great idea, good luck with your shop. The photos are gorgeous! Wonder what they do with that very expensive pig? Would be a shame to eat him…
Thanks so much! We’ll see…marketing myself is not one of my strengths so will have to work on that for anyone to find the shop. I know – as far as Mr. Pig goes – I’m not sure what they do with it but I don’t foresee a happy ending! 😉
very nice photo-story! 🙂
Thanks so much! 🙂
Thanks for te photo-tour, Lynda. New Orleans is still on our bucket list, as is Houston. Austin is fairly close by and thus we’re there quite frequently.
Have agreat time,
Pit
Hi Pit! thanks for stopping by! Oh you will love New Orleans. Go before the hot humid weather comes back – it so much more pleasant. And if you make it to Houston let me know and I’ll be happy to give you some pointers! I was in Fredericksburg around Christmas time last December – so charming – lucky you! 🙂
